integrate.me

lookat.me™ Digital Asset Management (DAM) system offers integration with other software systems that your organisation may already be using.

TRIM® Context
By integrating lookat.me™ with TRIM® Context  - widely used in the government sector -  digital assets can easily be linked to their relevant TRIM® records. Any type of file can be linked, such as signed copyright, model clearances and other acquisition or provenance documents. This process can be automated by mapping the lookat.me™ internal reference numbers of digital assets to the TRIM® records, creating immediate access to electronic retrieval of business-critical information. In this type of installation, data sharing is also possible via web services.

The State Library of New South Wales, Australia, manages hundreds of thousands of valuable cultural assets with lookat.me™ and links important legacy, bequest and provenance documents managed by TRIM®. The TRIM® records can be accessed seamlessly from the lookat.me™ by users with the appropriate permissions.

KE EMu® and Vernon CMS
Both of these popular cataloguing tools used for collection management in museums, galleries and cultural heritage sites, can easily be integrated with lookat.me™ to link digital assets with their corresponding archival collection catalogue record. In customising a lookat.me™ DAM for Museum Victoria, Australia, for instance, integration between the systems allows for images and associated metadata to be mapped automatically from EMu®.  Presentation of the collection items is delivered in a web friendly view via lookat.me™, available for public access and commercialisation. Museum Victoria also utilises lookat.me™ to fulfill its digital asset management function for non-collection assets, such as event and built environment photography.

Microsoft® SharePoint
Using web services, lookat.me™ can be integrated with Microsoft® SharePoint – the popular corporate system used for centralised management of documents. Again, by integrating lookat.me™ with Microsoft® SharePoint, digital assets can easily be linked to their relevant records and associated documents concerning digital assets, collection items, and policies.
