the SPECTRUM Standard
me™ first to deliver SPECTRUM Standard for DAM
me™ has signed on as a partner with The Collections Trust in Britain to promote and deliver SPECTRUM - the UK and international standard for Collections Management.
SPECTRUM is published by the Collections Trust as an open standard on behalf of the libraries, archives and museums sector.
SPECTRUM is freely available online (subject to registration). To find out how to access the online version, or download your own copy as a PDF, go to www.collectionstrust.org.uk/spectrum
The collaboration between the Collections Trust and me™ was forged at the Collect conference in London on 26 June this year.
Collect is a free trade fair highlighting the best in current practice, services and technologies for Collections Management.
Now in its third year, Collect is a key event for museum, library and archive professionals, offering them the opportunity to find out the latest in current practice, services and technologies for Collections Management. This event allows fellow museum, library and archive professionals to meet directly with the sector's leading suppliers.
SPECTRUM is the UK and international standard for Collections Management. First published more than 10 years ago, and since updated through two revised editions, SPECTRUM is now published by the Collections Trust as an open standard on behalf of the libraries, archives and museums sector. The Museum Accreditation Scheme defines eight of the 21 SPECTRUM procedures as 'primary'. This means that a museum must meet the conditions of this procedure in order to meet the requirements of the Scheme.
As the first DAM solution provider to become a SPECTRUM Partner, me™ is committed to the interests of our clients in the cultural heritage sector by incorporating and offering internationally recognised industry standards, business processes and frameworks for Collections Management with its lookat.me™ solution.
