Get to know me™ – Sumith
me™ wants you to get to know us, as much as we want to get to know you. In this get to know me™ snippet, meet Sumith Miranda: our industrious Project Manager and all-round nice guy...
Sumith (a.k.a. Sam) joined me™ in late 2006 to manage major contracts – including the State Library of New South Wales and Museum Victoria. He slotted into the role of Project Manager, leading Media Equation’s IT development and infrastructure team.
Those who have worked with (and for him) would vouch freely for his professional integrity; and his tenacious ability to problem-solve through any project challenge – always in affable spirit! In fact, we think that should The Apprentice (the reality TV series which sees business people fiercely competing in elimination-style competition to become magnate Donald Trump’s apprentice) be extending its franchise to Australia, we’ll be sending in our guy for sign-up!
Sumith comes to me™ with a wealth of experience leading projects in the banking and finance sector. He is well versed in print, design and multimedia technologies and has more than 100 development projects in his portfolio.
Winner of numerous awards and competitions for innovation and technology; Sumith holds several certifications and has actively contributed to the Project Management Body of Knowledge 4th edition (released December 2008). Currently in his second year as a MBA student, Sumith continuously strives to improve his management and leadership capabilities.
When it comes to working at me™, what does he enjoy the most?
“Working with the diversity of clients from various industry sectors (galleries, museums, libraries); and with high-level IT client/staff who are achieving great things in compliancy, policy, and innovation”.

Dubai-born and raised, Sumith now calls Australia home and he’s been a Melbourne resident for three years. “Having come originally from another multicultural city, I feel very much settled here – only, I’m not too fond of the cold!”
